The visual representation of the artist, sometimes handcrafted or sometimes generated from assets created by talented illustrators for USM.

Traits

Each Artist will have a unique set of Character Traits as well as Musical Traits. Think of these traits as something like the artist's "DNA".

Character Traits

Personal traits give color and character to the USM Artists and provide a foundation to build upon.

• Sanity

  • What is the Artist's personality like?

• Swagger

  • What is the Artist's performance style like?

• Fame

  • In what context is the Artist known to others?

Musical Traits

Musical traits provide structure to the types of music that this Artist will tend to generate when they publish music alongside their band.

• Melodic style

  • What types melodies, harmonies, if any, does this Artist tend to make?

• Textual style

  • What types of rhythms & temporal patterns, does this Artist tend to play?

• Energy

  • What's the tempo & general vibe of this Artist's music?

Sounds

Artist NFTs receive a complementary set of 4 sounds after being minted. These sounds will feature prominently in any future music that this Artist publishes.

Effects (WIP)

Music is an innovative art form and in keeping with this tradition, USM is exploring how we might bring different effects into the musical landscape. An Artist would then be able to use these "effects" to alter or enhance their sound.

Artistic Development (WIP)

Eventually, we imagine Artists being able to acquire additional sounds or trade for more different sounds.
